SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE – Tempo Verbal que indica ações diárias, que praticamos no dia-a-dia, rotina. Ex.: SHE ALWAYS BRUSHES HER HAIR. ( Ela sempre penteia os cabelos)

FORMAS: 2. Temos duas maneiras de escrever frases no Presente Simples: a. Com os sujeitos: I, YOU, WE, THEY. b. Com os sujeitos da 3ª. Pessoa do Singular: HE, SHE IT. - Observe:

Com: I, YOU, WE, THEY ... - O VERBO NÃO MODIFICA, VEM NA FORMA ESCRITA DO INFINITIVO SEM TO. EXEMPLE: I TRAVEL TO RIO EVERY YEAR. WE STUDY ENGLISH EVERY DAY. THEY NEVER GO TO SCHOOL BY CAR.

- Com: HE, SHE e IT…Veremos um pouco mais a frente. INTERROGATIVE AND NEGATIVE FORMS: - Para fazermos a Interrogativa e Negativa do Simple Present Tense usamos dois auxiliares de interrogação: DO e DOES.

INTERROGATIVE FORM

Formamos a INTERROGATIVE FORM do Simple Present Tense colocando os auxiliares DO ou DOES antes do sujeito da frase. Ex.: I go to school every day. INT.: DO I GO TO SCHOOL EVERY DA

NEGATIVE FORM

Formamos a NEGATIVE FORM do Simple Present Tense colocando os auxiliares DON´T ou DOESN´T depois do sujeito da frase. Ex.: I go to school every day. NEG.: I DON´T GO TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY.

3RD. PERSON ( HE, SHE, IT )

Formamos as frases na terceira pessoa do singular, com HE, SHE e IT, usando algumas regras com os verbos: 1. Regra geral – ACRESCENTA-SE “S” AO VERBO. Ex.: WALK = WALKS. SLEEP = SLEEPS.
